Team Medieval Empires

The excitement surrounding Medieval Empires is growing as we move closer to the release of the game's early access version for the landowners. With such a major milestone right around the corner, the marketing team is going full steam ahead to keep our community updated on the entire process!

This week, in the latest edition of "Get to Know the MEE Team," we had the pleasure of speaking with Resham Rafiq, our highly talented content manager who is located in Pakistan and working remotely with us.

What inspired you to join Medieval Empires?

I was told about Medieval Empires while working on another project and immediately knew this would be an exciting opportunity. I mean, the fact that it's a gaming project in the web3 space with a famous Turkish actor on board, who, by the way, is a very big deal in my home country, I couldn't wait to get started on its marketing!

Tell us a bit about what you do in the Medieval Empires team.

Everything content-related that you can think of! From content planning to content creation, whitepapers, blogs, video content creation, website content, email marketing, social media content, team profiles, and so on! The best part is that I get to talk to people from all the different departments, such as art, product, and game design, for content creation, and that keeps things super fun in a remote environment!

What's your favorite video game?/What was the last video game you played?

I'm not much of a video gamer now, but I used to love playing GTA and Need for Speed, but I wasn't really good at it, though! 😀

What's your guilty pleasure?

Romantic comedies and midnight snacking – my favorite combo!

If you were in medieval times, what character would you be, and why?

A painter or artist for sure. I love painting as a hobby but don't find the time for it anymore.

What do you keep in mind when working on content for a web3 gaming project?

When creating content, we keep in mind a few things, like it has to be engaging, fun, and very visual. It also has to be quick and crisp and easy to understand. Because we are dealing with a gaming audience, everything we create has to be done with that in mind.

Another thing we keep in mind is to provide regular updates to our community about the gameplay and everything that is going on behind the scenes because that is the whole idea of a web3 project: you take the community along with you on the ride!

What is the best part about working with Medieval Empires?

The team, without a doubt! It is the most fun and diverse team I have ever worked with, and there has been so much learning involved. Another thing would be remote working. Even though I miss face-to-face interactions sometimes, remote working has given me the opportunity to interact with so many different kinds of people from all over the world, and I love it! Plus, it allows me to spend more time with my kid – so it's a win-win!

What's the biggest misconception about your designation?

People tend to think that content creators are just geeks writing long, boring writeups all day! While we do write long writeups sometimes, there are so many kinds of content we create, and it requires a different kind of energy every time! I think content marketing is one of the most dynamic and ever-evolving fields, which keeps things super interesting all the time!

What's your all-time favorite old/war movie, and why?

Lord of the Rings. I'm a big fan of all three movies and also Pirates of the Caribbean.

What's your favorite pastime/hobby?

Netflix and chill. My downtime at the end of the day is super important to me!

What’s your one hidden talent?

I love planning events; we even have a small business here in Pakistan for planning stuff like birthdays and weddings etc.
